Prayers Of The Faithful – July 18

For Pope Francis and for his continuing recovery as he encourages all the sick and infirm by his example of faith and joy.
We pray to the Lord.

For people persecuted for their faith and especially for the many Catholic clergy and lay faithful who have been imprisoned or kidnapped in Africa and Asia.
We pray to the Lord.

For leaders in government, first nations and our faith communities who work for reconciliation by sincerely pursuing truth and understanding.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and all of the baptized of our Diocese as we emerge from the isolation and restrictions of the pandemic.
We pray to the Lord.

For the many people looking for work and for people trying to rebuild businesses and provide employment.
We pray to the Lord.

For the infirm and elderly in our care homes and hospitals and for all who live with chronic illness, pain or mental illness and addiction and for their families.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Bill Koks, Heloise LeBlanc, Jim Wiggins, Laurier Robichaud, Patricia Robichaud, Ralph Boyle, Ed Melanson; as they encounter God face to face and for each person who is in mourning.
We pray to the Lord.
