Prayers Of The Faithful – July 26

For Pope Leo and the Church throughout the world.
We pray to the Lord.

For Grandparents and the Elderly: that the Church will seek their wisdom and counsel and that they will receive pastoral care and spiritual attention in their times of need.
We pray to the Lord.

For our Parish and Diocese: that we will always be grateful for the faith and sacrifices and example of previous generations.
We pray to the Lord.

For families: that elderly family members be gratefully included in family life and for elderly people who have no living family members or who have been forgotten or abandoned.
We pray to the Lord.

For all the sick and for their families and caregivers.
We pray to the Lord.

Retreat

There will be a Young Adults Retreat at the Villa Madonna from Friday, August 14 to Sunday, August 16. Open to those 16 – 30. Speaker will be Fr. Roger Vandenakker CC. Retreat includes a walking pilgrimage to the Cathedral, Mass, Adoration, Confessions, fellowship, and assisting with the high school youth rally. Pilgrimage

The annual pilgrimage to the St. Francis of Assisi Shrine will be held on Sunday, August 9, at 413 Upper Skiff Lake Road, Skiff Lake. Bishop Riesbeck will be celebrating Mass rain or shine. Bring your own lawn chair. Times: The chapel opens for prayer at 10 am; Mass celebrated at 11 am; lunch at 12:15 pm (canteen or bring your own); rosary at 1 pm & healing service at 2 pm.
