Prayers Of The Faithful – August 30

For Pope Leo, Bishop Christian and all who are called to the Ministry of the Apostles.
We pray to the Lord.

For a firm resolve in countries and their leaders to pursue peace.

For our country and for all Canadians facing many challenges in every aspect of their individual and family lives.
We pray to the Lord.

For the safety of all as summer vacations come to an end and for those who have been unable to take a summer break.
We pray to the Lord.

For our relatives and friends who are in need of our support and prayers and for families living with addiction.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: David Breen, Evelyn (Mooney) Morris, Eileen Furlong, Jackie Manuel, Patty Higgins; and for their families.

Religious Education

Registration for Religious Education will be held in the Parish Hall following Sunday Masses on September 13 & 20. Please bring a copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate with you to registration. All classes will be held on Sundays, beginning on September 27.

Class Schedule:
Grades 1 – 5 will be from 9:50 am – 10:50 am
Grades 6, 7 & 8 will be from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Grade 9 will be from 7:15 pm – 8:15 pm

Volunteer parents are necessary for all grade levels to help our parish youth on their faith journey. If you can help, please call the parish office at (506) 653-6830 or our Religious Education Co-ordinator, Bunny Keleher, at (506) 693-9869.

For Pope Leo and his intention that we find new ways to evangelize in our cities and build community.
We pray to the Lord.

For the many Catholics and other Christians around the world facing persecution and threat of death for their belief in Jesus.
We pray to the Lord.

For the success of negotiations to end conflict around the world.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor, especially families with children, facing another round of price increases for food and necessities.
We pray to the Lord.

For expectant mothers and their unborn children.
We pray to the Lord.

For people who are ill at home or in hospital and for their families and care givers.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Romeo Despres, Inez Kemp, James Gilliland, Joseph Chevarie, Blanche Stewart, Ray Barton; and for families in mourning.
