All Souls’ Day

Tomorrow, Monday, November 2, is All Souls’ Day, and Mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Each year, the Church takes this day to remember all those who have died and “gone before us marked with the sign of faith.” In faith, we believe that we remain united with our loved ones because the Kingdom of God is not bound by death. We remember especially those who have died in the past year.

Prayers Of The Faithful – November 1

For Pope Leo and for the whole Church as we pray for his complete recovery from recent surgery.
We pray to the Lord.

For the great multitude of Christians who live their faith and witness to the Beatitudes while enduring attacks and persecution.
We pray to the Lord.

For our country facing many challenges and for the poor, especially families, who bear the greatest burden from economic challenges imposed upon us.
We pray to the Lord.

For our children and grandchildren who look to us for examples of how we can live our faith in a complex world.
We pray to the Lord.

For people who are ill and for their families and care givers.
We pray to the Lord.

For all the Faithful Departed, especially those whose names are written in our Book of Remembrance as we begin this month of remembrance of, and prayer for, the dead.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died during this past week: Evelyn Gaudet, Mabel McGraw, Aroon (Coughlin) Bailey.
