For the Church and all Christians that our faith may be inscribed on our hearts so that we may be close to God by caring for the powerless and vulnerable people among us.

For the millions of people around the world enduring suffering each day from war and famine, extremes of climate and natural disaster, persecution for their faith and their beliefs and for aid workers and church groups bringing relief to them.
We pray to the Lord.
For a calming of anxieties over COVID-19 and vaccinations and for sincere efforts to keep our children and grandchildren and our sick and elderly safe.
We pray to the Lord.
For the safety of all travelers and especially for school children at the end of their summer holiday.

For every person who has asked us to pray for them and for each person in need of our prayer today, especially those in despair.
We pray to the Lord.
