Prayers Of The Faithful – November 9

For Pope Leo and for Bishops, Priests and all the lay faithful united with him in professing faith in our Risen Lord.
We pray to the Lord.

For peace in our world and an end to war as we remember our valiant warriors for peace who made the supreme sacrifice.
We pray to the Lord.

For the safety of all members of our Armed forces and for their families and for the people they protect.
We pray to the Lord.

For our children and grandchildren: that they may never experience war and be free to live their faith in Jesus.
We pray to the Lord.

For families and individuals who depend on the community to help them in having adequate food and nutrition.
We pray to the Lord.

For people who are ill at home or in hospital.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Sister Theresa Hucul, S.C.I.C., Sr. Margaret Coyle, S.C.I.C., Alphonsus Chibundu Okere; for the souls in Purgatory and for each one whose name you have entered in our Book of Remembrance.

For Pope Leo and for his prayer intention: that those who are tempted to commit suicide may find the love, care and support they need and be open to the beauty of life.

For peace throughout the world and leaders who will seek it.

For our Diocesan family of faith: that our parishes may embrace those who mourn with their prayerful support and compassion.
We pray to the Lord.

For all people and families who still mourn the death of someone they love: that they will find hope and strength through Christ.

For the poor and homeless, especially families with children.
We pray to the Lord.

For people who are ill and for their families and caregivers.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Nancy Ledoux, Bertha Ferguson, Michael Sullivan, Mary O’Connor-Kierstead, Ivan Court, Berniece Daigle; and for each one whose name has been written in our Book of Remembrance.
