Prayers Of The Faithful – January 1

For peace throughout the whole world and for a renewed reverence and respect for each human life.
We pray to the Lord.

For the intercession of Mary, the Queen of Peace, in turning the hearts and minds of all heads of state and leaders of government to value the lives of the poor and powerless over the privileged.
We pray to the Lord.

For our province and city as we begin a new civil year that hope and possibility will replace the hardship and isolation of 2021.
We pray to the Lord.

For a renewal of our parish life as we encourage each other and witness to the power of Christ’s love and forgiveness to our friends, families and coworkers.
We pray to the Lord.

For a reawakening among the young of the privilege and joy of serving the Church as priests and religious.
We pray to the Lord.

For each one here who has resolved to make this New Year a time for personal renewal and healthier living.
We pray to the Lord.

For the faithful departed: Rev. Sam Diotte, John McLaughlin, Dick Wade, Delema Comeau, Bill Boucher, Gladys McGrath, Gemma Haggarty; and for those who mourn.
