Prayers Of The Faithful – January 1 – New Year’s
For Pope Francis and the whole Church as we celebrate Mary, Mother of God, Mother of the Church and our Blessed Mother.
We pray to the Lord.
For the world, that this Day of Prayer for Peace may help to turn the hearts of world leaders to embrace the ways of peace.
We pray to the Lord.
For the safety of Canadian Peacekeepers around the world and for all who serve in our armed forces and their families.
We pray to the Lord.
For Bishop Christian and Monsignor Henneberry and our Diocesan and Parish families as we begin a New Year in hope and joy.
We pray to the Lord.
For peace in our families, our places of work and places of study and for reconciliation among all people.

For people who are ill and for first responders and workers in our health care system.

For Pope Francis, as he celebrates his birthday, that God will give him strength and health to proclaim Christ to the world.

For the world, that the angry sounds of war and division might become silent to hear the words of forgiveness and peace.
We pray to the Lord.
For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan family of faith, that we might be like John the Baptist preparing hearts to receive Christ.
We pray to the Lord.
For the poor, especially families, who will benefit from the generosity of our parish family and for each one who has given.
We pray to the Lord.
For all expectant parents, especially single mothers, and for gentle and wise older parents to encourage them.
We pray to the Lord.
For each one who is ill or awaiting surgery or diagnostic tests, and for the ones who love them and comfort and heal them.
