For Pope Francis and the Church throughout the world that we may be renewed in hope during this Holy Year.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan Family as he begins our Holy Year celebration with Mass at the Cathedral.

For families: that parents’ role as protector and teacher will be strengthened and respected and children will honour their parents in truth and honesty.
We pray to the Lord.

For the protection of unborn children and for mothers and families in distress.
We pray to the Lord.

For families affected by addiction and who pray for the recovery and health of those living on the streets.
We pray to the Lord.

For families who have become caregivers of parents or children.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died, and for all deceased members of our families.
We pray to the Lord.

For Pope Francis and the Church as we celebrate Jesus’ birth.
We pray to the Lord.

For the world: that weapons of war may be silenced so that we may hear the words of the Prince of Peace.
We pray to the Lord.

For migrants, refugees and all the homeless, especially children.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan family of faith as we joyfully witness to Christ’s presence in our lives.
We pray to the Lord.

For our families and for all who are travelling during Christmas.
We pray to the Lord.

For anyone who is ill and for people who are alone today.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Irene O’Blenis; and especially those who have died since our last celebration of Christmas.

For Pope Francis, Bishop Christian and all who lead the Church as we are reassured that God’s promises are to be trusted.

For the world: that nations may learn from the Visitation that openness to life brings openness to Christ and His salvation.We pray to the Lord.

For the poor, especially families with children, and for the countless people without homes or shelter.
We pray to the Lord.

For healthcare workers and caregivers at home who bring life and healing through compassion and being present to the sick.
We pray to the Lord.

For the safety of travelers who will be heading to their homes and families this week and for those who will be alone.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Brian Camick; and for the many people who are mourning the death of someone they love.

For Pope Francis as he travels to Corsica to celebrate the faith and traditions of the Mediterranean people.

For our world: that nations will receive the Good News of Jesus and see it as a source of Peace and salvation.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan Church as we look to John the Baptist to instruct us on how to prepare for Christ.

For the poor and for the conversion of leaders and systems that use and oppress them.
We pray to the Lord.

For the many people who experience depression and loneliness at this time and for their families.
We pray to the Lord.

For people who are ill, especially those with chronic conditions and those who are close to death.
We pray to the Lord.
