Prayers Of The Faithful – December 25

For a world made weary by war and ongoing pandemics.
We pray to the Lord.

For Pope Francis as he gives his blessing to the city of Rome and to the whole world this Christmas.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan faith family as our hopes for our own families and our church are renewed by the celebration of Christ’s birth.
We pray to the Lord.

For Monsignor Henneberry in his service to us and the whole Diocese as he recalls that 25 years ago today St. John Paul II bestowed the title of Monsignor on him and on Fr. Joseph Woods and Fr. Brian Sheehan.
We pray to the Lord.

For Christians who are persecuted for their faith in Jesus that they may be encouraged and renewed in hope this Christmas.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor, especially those you have helped this Christmas.
We pray to the Lord.

For the many people who are alone today and for those in hospital and nursing homes and for people who are discouraged.
We pray to the Lord.

For the faithful departed: Rev. Sam Diotte, John McLaughlin, Dick Wade, Delema Comeau, Bill Boucher, Gladys McGrath, Gemma Haggarty; and for people in mourning.
We pray to the Lord.
