Prayer Cards

If you didn’t get one last weekend, Prayer Cards for the Jubilee Year are available at all church entrances. The Diocese has provided us with enough cards so that in addition to taking prayer cards for yourself, you can take some for friends or relatives who might not be able to attend church.

Prayers Of The Faithful – January 19

For Pope Francis and the leaders of all Christian Churches as we begin the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan family as we are reminded that Mary, the Mother of Jesus, intercedes on our behalf.
We pray to the Lord.

For couples preparing for, or considering, the Sacrament of Marriage, the sign of Jesus’ love for the Church.
We pray to the Lord.

For a strengthening of family life and for respect for the authority of parents and their duties to their children.
We pray to the Lord.

For families facing continued pressure from increases in the cost of food and shelter fuelled by profits and greed.
We pray to the Lord.

For any who are sick, at home or in hospital, and for all who have asked us to pray for them.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Diana Richard, Ann Mae Whittaker, Theresa McCann, Vera Templeton, Doreen Ward, Susan Bastarache, Judith Foss, Stephen Kelly, Margo Legere; and for families in mourning.
