For the Church as we thank God for the life of Pope Francis and ask the Holy Spirit to inspire those who will elect the next Pope.

For our candidates who will receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation this week.
We pray to the Lord.

For our country and for leaders who will respect life and champion the rights of the poor and families.
We pray to the Lord.

For the safety of workers and for those looking for work as we honour St. Joseph the Worker this week.
We pray to the Lord.

For people who are ill and for their families and care givers.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: His Holiness Pope Francis, Dianne Lester, Marina Forestell, Michael Moran, Wendell Ford; that they may enter into eternal life in Heaven through Jesus’ Resurrection.

As Bishop Riesbeck mentioned in his letter, you are invited to the following as we mourn the death of Pope Francis:
There will be a Holy Hour Vigil on Friday, April 25, at 7 pm at the Cathedral.
Bishop Riesbeck will celebrate a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, April 29, 7 pm at the Cathedral.
