Stations of the Cross

On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm during Lent, Deacon Stephen will lead the Stations of the Cross. The Stations allow us to draw closer to Christ in His passion and to join our suffering with His. Please enter the church through the parking lot entrance or ramp entrance.

Diocesan Planning Study

Reminder: The Diocese of Saint John is conducting a comprehensive planning study of the entire diocese to help gauge the interest and support for the Cathedral Restoration, an Endowment for Parish Evangelization Efforts, and Individual Parish Needs. In order to gather feedback, there will be listening sessions in the Saint John Region on the following dates:

Wednesday, March 8, 6: 30 pm – St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish
Tuesday, March 14, 7:00 pm – Our Lady of the Assumption
Wednesday, March 15, 6:30 pm – Holy Redeemer Parish
Thursday, March 16, 7:00 pm – St. Stephen Church
Saturday, March 18, 1:30 pm – Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Sunday, March 19, 2:00 pm – Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

The Diocese appreciates your thoughts and participation during this planning process.

Prayers Of The Faithful – March 5

For Pope Francis, that God will give him physical strength and peace as he speaks for families, the poor and homeless.
We pray to the Lord.

For a lessening of tensions among nations and a decrease in the production and sale of weapons of war.
We pray to the Lord.

For our children and grandchildren and all students enjoying a break from school and their studies.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and the Diocesan Church during this time of consultations in planning for our future.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor who are becoming homeless in increasing numbers and children and families lacking in proper nutrition, all because of rising food prices and rent.
We pray to the Lord.

For all the sick and infirm and for their families and caregivers.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Rita Richard, Bill Harkins, Paul O’Connor, Herbie Beddow, Barbara Marsh, Roger Guimond, John Patterson, Jeanette Cosgrove, Claude MacKinnon, Maria Arseneau; may they be welcomed into the glory and joy of heaven.
We pray to the Lord.
