Pictures from the second day of demolition.
FYI – In the lower right of this picture, you can see a brick wall (behind the pile of debris). That section of wall is where the Mother of Perpetual Help mosaic was located. That mosaic was successfully removed from the church several weeks ago.
The picture below shows the progress at the end of the first day of demolition.
Please do not attempt to enter the St. Peter’s property to try to get a souvenir. It is an active construction zone; with large dangerous equipment in use. While you are welcome to stop by and watch from a distance, please stay behind the construction fencing.
Steubenville Atlantic will take place in Halifax, July 8-10. The conference is open to students in (grades 9 – 12). The conference is also in need of adult chaperones (21 or older). If you have a child who would like to attend; or you can be a chaperone, please email (holyredeemersj@gmail.com) the parish with your name and phone number. Stephen Mawhinney will call you and provide further details. Registration deadline is Monday, June 6.
There will be a Pentecost digital mission from Monday, May 30, to Wednesday, June 1, 8 pm – 9:30 pm each evening. Talks are provided by Bishop Christian Riesbeck CC, Fr. Allan MacDonald CC, and Fr.
