Evangelization Series
Beginning on Tuesday, January 11, the Diocese will be offering an eight-week evangelization series with Bishop Riesbeck, along with priests and seminarians of the Companions of the Cross. The series takes place on Tuesdays from 7:45 pm – 9 pm via Zoom. Please email nmazerolle@dioceseofsaintjohn.org to register.
Prayers Of The Faithful – December 12
For Pope Francis, tireless pilgrim for peace, reconciliation and the sanctity of human life, as he celebrates his 85th birthday.
We pray to the Lord.
For Bishop Christian and all Canadian Bishops as we pray for reconciliation with aboriginal people on this weekend’s feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
We pray to the Lord.
For people still struggling to recover from flooding and natural disaster in Canada and around the world and for the generous and valiant people who have come to their aid.
We pray to the Lord.
For each person affected by the surge in COVID 19 infections and especially for those who are isolated and discouraged.
We pray to the Lord.
For renewed hope for all Christians on this third Sunday of Advent and for each one who is reaching out to the poor and lonely as their resources allow.
We pray to the Lord.
For all of the sick at home or in hospital or care homes and for people whose surgeries and treatments have been postponed.
We pray to the Lord.
For our faithful departed: Janice Boulos, Sean O’Neill, Frederick Lavigne, Paul McIntyre, Margaret Rose Danaher; and for all who mourn them.

Advent Videos
The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops will be releasing a video each Sunday during Advent of a Bishop reflecting on the Gospel for that Sunday. The videos can be found HERE.
Christmas Dinners
We are still accepting donations to help with dinners. All monies received will be passed on to the Christmas Exchange, and you will be credited for income tax purposes by us. The Exchange will distribute these funds to the organizations that can physically meet with applicants in our area who need help.
Please place donations in an envelope marked Christmas Dinners, and make any cheques payable to Holy Redeemer.
You may also e-Transfer your donation. Use stpiusx@nb.aibn.com as the email address. Please put in the note in the message area that your donation is for Christmas Baskets.

Pope To Visit Canada
Pope Francis has accepted an invitation from the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops to come to Canada on a pilgrimage of healing and reconciliation. No dates have been announced. More information is available at the CCCB’s website.
