Prayers Of The Faithful – May 14

For Pope Francis, voice for the poor and for Peace in the world.
We pray to the Lord.

For victims of natural disasters, especially those in Canada enduring flooding and forest fires and for rescuers.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and his priests who are on retreat this week.
We pray to the Lord.

For the young people of our parish who have been confirmed, that they will always call upon the Holy Spirit to help them.
We pray to the Lord.

For our Mothers and Grandmothers, that God will richly bless those still among us and embrace with His love those who have entered into Eternal Life.
We pray to the Lord.

For Father Stephen Mawhinney and Father David Rioux and for their families whose love and examples have formed them.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor, especially families, who struggle daily under heavy financial burdens and worries about food and shelter.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who are sick and any who have asked for our prayers.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Bill Logan, Randy St. Croix, Christopher Williams, Dianne Childs, Francois Beaulieu, Robert Robichaud; and for their families.

Ordination

Reminder: All are welcome to attend the Ordination of Deacon Stephen Mawhinney and Deacon David Rioux this evening, Friday, May 12, 6:30 pm, at the Cathedral. A reception will follow in the Cathedral Rectory.

Fr. David Rioux will celebrate his first Mass tomorrow, Saturday, May 13, 12:10 pm, at the Cathedral.

Fr. Stephen Mawhinney will celebrate his first Mass here at St. Pius X / Holy Redeemer Parish on Sunday, May 14, 11:00 am.
