Prayers Of The Faithful – September 25
For Pope Francis, the clearest and most passionate voice speaking for migrants and the plight of refugees.
We pray to the Lord.
For victims of war and famine and natural disasters and for the church workers and volunteers who bring them relief.
We pray to the Lord.
For Bishop Christian and his brother bishops in their mission to strengthen the church and faith in Jesus throughout Canada as we celebrate the feast of the Canadian martyrs.
We pray to the Lord.
For unborn children and their parents and for our elderly and challenged people who feel threatened in our society that proposes death as a solution for many problems.
We pray to the Lord.
For the poor who feel most powerless in this time of inflation and growing corporate profit.
We pray to the Lord.
For people who are ill at home, in hospital or long term care and for their families and caregivers.
We pray to the Lord.
For those who have died: Carey Ryan, Shirley Moore, Lillian Johnston,
David Rogers, Lorraine McIntyre, Ann Lowe, Peter Heffernan; and for people who are mourning the death of someone they love.
We pray to the Lord.
