Prayers Of The Faithful – September 19

For Pope Francis who has shown the world the power of reconciliation and of walking away from old conflicts during his pilgrimage to former Communist occupied Hungary and Slovakia.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocese, as we begin another year of pastoral activity through efforts in Eucharistic Adoration, Evangelization and Discipleship, and Outreach, looking to our Lady of Guadalupe to inspire us and St. Joseph to protect us.
We pray to the Lord.

For our country as we conduct a federal election, that those elected and their leaders will choose humility in serving us, especially the homeless poor and families choosing to bring children into the world.
We pray to the Lord.

For the countless people still affected by Covid-19 and the valiant health workers who provide care and for a return to reason in assessing all options of the vaccines available.
We pray to the Lord.

For each person in need of our prayer today, especially those who are alone or discouraged and for people living with addictions and for their families.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Michael Higgins, Margaret Holder, Rick Melanson, Colletta Woodruff; and for family and friends who mourn them.
We pray to the Lord.
