Prayers Of The Faithful – August 8

For Pope Francis and the Church throughout the world.
We pray to the Lord.

For Canadians who have lost much during wildfires and extremes of drought and weather and for those who give aid and hope.
We pray to the Lord.

For the Catholic Women’s League of Canada, their members and families and for the success of their online National Convention on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and all the Canadian Bishops who need our prayers in their ongoing work of reconciliation and forgiveness.
We pray to the Lord.

For all of our priests, pastoral workers and catechists who nourished us and for each one of our faith family who supported the lonely, isolated, poor and afraid during the pandemic.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have lost work or their homes and for the poor and homeless who try to find their place in the recovery.
We pray to the Lord.

For the safety of travelers and of our children and grandchildren as they enjoy their summer activities.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Gloria Keary, Steven Childerhouse, Larry Percy, Kay Davis, Muriel Cleveland, Barbara Campbell; and for the comforting of families and friends in mourning.
We pray to the Lord.
