Prayers Of The Faithful – February 27
For Pope Francis as he invites us to begin Lent on Ash Wednesday by praying and fasting for the people of Ukraine.
We pray to the Lord.
For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan family as we begin Lent and pray together that understanding and reconciliation among all peoples of Canada will deepen.
We pray to the Lord.
For our children who are often confused by divisions within our country that they will find security in our faith family and within their homes and all generations of their families.
We pray to the Lord.
For people affected by lingering COVID infections and for weary workers and business owners seeking stability in the workplace and the marketplace.
We pray to the Lord.
For people affected by unchecked inflation and for compassionate measures by people who can effect real economic solutions.
We pray to the Lord.
For people burdened by physical illness, mental torment or the heaviness of addiction and for their families.
We pray to the Lord.
For those who have died: Sister Ruth Monahan, SCIC, Mildred King, Kay Gagnon, Carol Ann McNally, Pauline Foster, Carmelo Mattina, Gloria Hargrove, Jack Boyle; and for each person in mourning.
We pray to the Lord.

Cereal Drive
Reminder: We invite you to contribute to the Our Daily Bread Cereal Drive in memory of Maggie Nugent, one of our former Religious Education students. Contributions assist the breakfast program at St. Francis-Hazen White School. Cereal can be brought with you to Mass until this Sunday, February 27, and left near the Baptism font at the front of the church. The students have always been grateful for your very generous response over the years.
Tax Receipts
All 2021 tax receipts have been mailed. If you have not received yours, it should arrive early next week. For those who donated via Canada Helps, please remember that they issue the tax receipts for your donations, so they will not be included in the tax receipt that you receive from the parish. We thank everyone for their generosity over the past year.
