Prayers Of The Faithful – December 12
For Pope Francis, tireless pilgrim for peace, reconciliation and the sanctity of human life, as he celebrates his 85th birthday.
We pray to the Lord.
For Bishop Christian and all Canadian Bishops as we pray for reconciliation with aboriginal people on this weekend’s feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
We pray to the Lord.
For people still struggling to recover from flooding and natural disaster in Canada and around the world and for the generous and valiant people who have come to their aid.
We pray to the Lord.
For each person affected by the surge in COVID 19 infections and especially for those who are isolated and discouraged.
We pray to the Lord.
For renewed hope for all Christians on this third Sunday of Advent and for each one who is reaching out to the poor and lonely as their resources allow.
We pray to the Lord.
For all of the sick at home or in hospital or care homes and for people whose surgeries and treatments have been postponed.
We pray to the Lord.
For our faithful departed: Janice Boulos, Sean O’Neill, Frederick Lavigne, Paul McIntyre, Margaret Rose Danaher; and for all who mourn them.
We pray to the Lord.
