Prayers Of The Faithful – Easter

For Pope Francis and the Universal Church as we joyfully celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection and victory over sin and death.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian, our Parish family and the whole Diocesan Church, that we may be filled with hope this Easter as we see an end to the pandemic.
We pray to the Lord.

For the many thousands who will enter the Church this Easter through Baptism, for all of us who renew the vows of our Baptism and for each Christian facing persecution for their faith.
We pray to the Lord.

For our children and grandchildren that they will grow to cherish the Easter faith that has brought us safely through many difficulties and losses and given us reason to be joyful.
We pray to the Lord.

For people with physical or mental illness, for their families and caregivers, and for those who are lonely and discouraged, that Jesus’ Resurrection may give them light and healing.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Joan Davidson, Anita McNulty, John Randall, Nick van Leeuwen, Albert Dodd, Allan Savoury; that they may receive the fullness of the promise given them in Baptism.

Prayers Of The Faithful – Holy Thursday

For Pope Francis, Bishop Christian, Monsignor Henneberry and all priests and deacons as we recall Jesus’ gift of the Priesthood to the Church.
We pray to the Lord.

For Catholics throughout the world unable to receive Holy Communion this Holy Thursday and Easter because of pandemic restrictions or the shortage of priests to serve them.
We pray to the Lord.

For people who have become separated from our faith community and the Eucharist, especially members of our families, that they may once again join us at the Lord’s Table.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor and homeless, for widows and orphans and for sick and discouraged and lonely people, that we may provide for them as we are able in imitation of Christ’s example of humble service.
We pray to the Lord.

For people you have carried here in your heart and in your memories, and for each of you and your particular needs.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died, during this past year, that God will gather them at the Banquet Table in Heaven.
We pray to the Lord.
