Prayers Of The Faithful – May 7

For Pope Francis and the entire Church, especially for Christians facing growing persecution in India and martyrdom in Nigeria.
We pray to the Lord.

For our country, Canada, and unity among all Canadians as we mark the Coronation of Charles the Third as King.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan Church as we pray and anticipate the ordination of Deacon Stephen Mawhinney and Deacon David Rioux as priests.
We pray to the Lord.

For the children of our Parish who are receiving their First Holy Communion that they will always draw strength, healing and hope from attending and receiving the Eucharist.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who are sick and for their families and care givers as we mark Canada Health Day this Friday.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor and the growing numbers of hungry and homeless people and for the generous and valiant people who assist them.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Shirley Woodhouse, Todd Smith, Lee Boudreau, Sandra Thompson; and for their families.
We pray to the Lord.

For Pope Francis who asks us to remember on the Day of Prayer for Vocations that God’s call is a complete and free gift and at the same time a commitment to bring the gospel to others.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and our Deacons Stephen Mawhinney and David Rioux as they prepare for Ordination on May 12th.
We pray to the Lord.

For young men and women that they may recognize God is still calling many to ordained service in the Church and Religious life.
We pray to the Lord.

For unborn children and for mothers and families in distress and for those who serve them.
We pray to the Lord.

For our dear children and grandchildren who will receive their First Holy Communion next week and for their teachers.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor and for those who try to provide them with adequate food and shelter.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who are ill and in need of our prayers.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Celina Butcher, Elizabeth Vandenberg, Bobby Keenan, Neil Brooks, Belinda Balemans; may Christ the Good Shepherd welcome them into his merciful embrace.
