Prayers Of The Faithful – September 4

For Pope Francis, Bishop Christian and for each one who has been called to carry out the mission of the Apostles.
We pray to the Lord.

For workers, whose skills and labour build up our communities and help to feed our bodies and spirits, and for those who teach them their skills.
We pray to the Lord.

For peaceful solutions to the many conflicts around the world.
We pray to the Lord.

For our children and grandchildren in their first week in school and in places of higher learning, that they will grow in wisdom and faith in God’s providence.
We pray to the Lord.

For Steven Mawhinney and David Rioux who will be ordained as deacons on September 8th and for their families.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor and all who are struggling in a time of inflation.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who are sick and in need of our prayers.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Stewart Crowley, Gerry Clark, Dan McNeill, Daryl Ritchie, Sr., Corinne Osborne, Mike Roy, Suzanne Pelletier; and for their families.

Eucharistic Ministers’ Schedule

Margie Clifford has stepped away from preparing the Eucharistic Ministers’ Schedule for our weekend Masses. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Margie for her dedication preparing the schedule for so many years.

Since Stephen Mawhinney will soon be a deacon, he will be assisting Msgr. Henneberry with the distribution of Communion at all Masses. As a result, we will only need to schedule one Eucharistic Minister for each of the weekend Masses. Hopefully this gives you, our overworked volunteers, a bit of a break.

We will be preparing the October – December Eucharistic Ministers’ Schedule (excluding Christmas/New Year’s) shortly. If you know that you will be unavailable at any point during those months, please contact the parish office (653-6830 or stpiusx@nb.aibn.com) by Monday, September 12, so that we can adjust the schedule accordingly.
