Christmas Baskets

Once again this year we will not be taking applications for Christmas Dinners due to COVID-19.
However, we will be accepting donations to help with dinners. All monies received will be passed on to the Christmas Exchange, and you will be credited for income tax purposes by us. The Exchange will distribute these funds to the organizations that can physically meet with applicants in our area who need help. We would appreciate receiving donations beginning the weekend of October 23rd/24th.
We are late starting this year, so we encourage you to make your donations as soon as possible. We would like to pass along donations early in November so that the Christmas Exchange can determine just how many families will benefit.
Please place donations in an envelope marked Christmas Dinners, and make any cheques payable to Holy Redeemer. Thank you for your help.
Happy Thanksgiving from Holy Redeemer Parish!

COVID-19 Exposure
Public Health has informed us of a possible COVID-19 exposure at St. Pius X Church / Holy Redeemer Parish during a funeral on Wednesday, September 29, between the hours of 12 pm – 2 pm.
If you weren’t present at this funeral, you have no need to be concerned. If you were present, Public Heath advises that you self-monitor for any symptoms for 14 days after the date of the exposure. Our upcoming weekend Masses are not affected, and will proceed as scheduled with all usual COVID precautions.
Religious Education
Reminder:
Our Sunday morning Religious Education program is in need of volunteers. We have no teachers for grades 2, 5, 6, 7 or the new 2-year Confirmation program. We need parents and grandparents to consider volunteering as teachers/teaching assistants before we can start classes. Please call the office (653-6830) if you can help.
COVID Update – The Sequel

Update To Our COVID Update:
1. There will now be pew markers, and we ask that you sit only in designated pews.
2. In each pew there will be a slip that you will be required to fill out for contact tracing.
Masks will still be mandatory for everyone over age 2, but no proof of vaccination will be required.
COVID Update
As the COVID situation continues to evolve, here is an update surrounding Masses this weekend at Holy Redeemer:
1. Masks will be required for everyone over the age of 2 who does not have a medical exemption.
2. Proof of vaccination will not be required.
3. The vaccine survey planned for this weekend will not be taking place.
4. While there will be no pew markers in place in the church this weekend, we ask that you please sit in every second pew.
Religious Education
COVID-19 has played havoc with our Religious Education program. Currently, we have no teachers for grades 2, 5, 6, 7 and the new 2-year Confirmation program. We need parents and grandparents to consider volunteering as teachers/teaching assistants before we can start classes. Please call the office (653-6830) if you can help. Thank You.
