Prayers Of The Faithful – February 15

For Pope Leo, the Bishops and Priests and Deacons who will lead the Church through the Season of Lent which begins on this Ash Wednesday.
We pray to the Lord.

For a strengthening of Family Life, and increasing respect for the rightful authority of parents, for reconciliation in families that are separated and for healing where it is needed as we celebrate Family Day on Monday.
We pray to the Lord.

For people who have been away from the Church: that this Lent will offer an opportunity to return to the loving embrace of our Father and to receive life in Jesus through the Sacraments.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor and for those who will help them through their generous Lenten almsgiving.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who are ill: that they will be strengthened and encouraged as we follow Jesus through the days of Lent.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Paula Binette, Michelle Melanson, Dorothy Dunn,Diane Gavin, Teresita Andrade, Bruce Brown, Angela Monahan, Aldoria Arseneault; and for their families.

For Pope Leo, Bishop Christian and all who lead our Church as Jesus challenges us to be salt and light for the whole world.
We pray to the Lord.

For negotiated solutions to the needless warfare around the world and for the millions left homeless, injured, sick and without proper clothing against the wet and cold as a result.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who are sick among us, and for the Lord’s sick around the world as we commend them to the loving prayer and care of Our Lady of Lourdes on this World Day of the Sick.
We pray to the Lord.

For healthcare workers and for families who provide care for aging, ill or challenged family members.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who provide Spiritual Care in our hospitals and institutions and for a generous response from men and women whom God is calling to serve in this vital ministry.
We pray to the Lord.

For the peacemakers in our world, who indeed are blessed and needed every day in every land.

For our Bishop and our Diocesan Church as we continue to renew our parishes by our ongoing revitalization.

For men and women in the church who have vowed to live by the Evangelical Counsels and follow Christ each day.

For the poor, especially families, who suffer the most from trade and tariff conflicts.

For all who are ill and for those who are lonely and discouraged.
