Prayers Of The Faithful – September 24
For Pope Francis and for the Church throughout the world especially in places where Catholics are persecuted.
We pray to the Lord.
For Bishop Christian and the Canadian bishops as they meet in their annual session this week.
We pray to the Lord.
For our nation, Canada, and for her people who are descended from many nations, as we celebrate the Canadian martyrs who first brought the Gospel to North America.
We pray to the Lord.
For our children and grandchildren beginning Religious Education classes this weekend that their faith will grow and be strengthened by our example.
We pray to the Lord.
For the poor, especially families and children, as their financial burdens continue to grow and wear them down.
We pray to the Lord.
For anyone who is living with physical or mental illness and for families struggling with addiction.
We pray to the Lord.
For those who have died: Fred Shonoman, Bill Kirk, Wayne Hebert, Fran Frauley, Francoise MacKenzie; as we entrust them to the love and mercy of God.
