Prayers Of The Faithful – December 29

For Pope Francis and the Church throughout the world that we may be renewed in hope during this Holy Year.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan Family as he begins our Holy Year celebration with Mass at the Cathedral.
We pray to the Lord.

For families: that parents’ role as protector and teacher will be strengthened and respected and children will honour their parents in truth and honesty.
We pray to the Lord.

For the protection of unborn children and for mothers and families in distress.
We pray to the Lord.

For families affected by addiction and who pray for the recovery and health of those living on the streets.
We pray to the Lord.

For families who have become caregivers of parents or children.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died, and for all deceased members of our families.
We pray to the Lord.

Prayers Of The Faithful – December 25

For Pope Francis and the Church as we celebrate Jesus’ birth.
We pray to the Lord.

For the world: that weapons of war may be silenced so that we may hear the words of the Prince of Peace.
We pray to the Lord.

For migrants, refugees and all the homeless, especially children.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and our Diocesan family of faith as we joyfully witness to Christ’s presence in our lives.
We pray to the Lord.

For our families and for all who are travelling during Christmas.
We pray to the Lord.

For anyone who is ill and for people who are alone today.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Irene O’Blenis; and especially those who have died since our last celebration of Christmas.
We pray to the Lord.
