Collection For Infirm Priests

The annual collection for infirm priests will be taken up this weekend, November 26/27:
“This collection is taken up in every parish and mission church in our diocese to help support our priests who, on sick leave, need special care. Your generosity will be a way of saying “thank you” to those priests and all priests who have responded to God’s call to serve and be there for you. Know that your contribution, large or small, is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.”

Prayers Of The Faithful – November 20

For Pope Francis as he continues to invite youth to be active in the life of the Church and to be agents of hope and forgiveness.
We pray to the Lord.

For a stable peace in our world in these days when countries are in danger of falling into a war.
We pray to the Lord.

For young people throughout the world, and especially in our own Diocese and parish, on this World Youth Day that encourages young people to see Christ as Lord and King.
We pray to the Lord.

For Bishop Christian and his priests and deacons as they meet this week to enrich their fraternity and plan for the future.
We pray to the Lord.

For the poor, especially families, as economic challenges continue to increase and threaten their health and security.
We pray to the Lord.

For our relatives and friends in the United States as they observe the Feast of Thanksgiving and gather with family members.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who are ill and in need of our prayers.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who have died: Mary Nice, Robert McNamee, Patsy Patchell, Cindy Jeffries, Eugene Bradley, Pauline Hughes-McKillop, Daniel Fournier, Claudia Chiasson, Susan Kelley, Wayne King, Gerard Gillis; and for all our departed relatives and friends.
We pray to the Lord.

Remembrance Book

You still have time to add the names of your deceased loved ones to our Remembrance Book. To add someone who has died since last November, email us at stpiusx@nb.aibn.com, and we will add them to the list. If you do not have email access, please write/print out your list of names, and place it in the collection basket. Your loved ones will be added to the book and remembered at all Masses during November.
